The Island of San Macario, with its hidden treasures, stands as a testament to historical events that have unfolded over the centuries, intertwining different peoples and cultures. The Spanish tower, the Byzantine monastery, and the unique tonnara di ritorno\u2014the only one of its kind in Sardinia. The island\u2019s remarkable history takes center stage in YoungFor, a local co-governance project promoted by CEAS Laguna di Nora and the Municipality of Pula, with technical support from Poliste. The initiative engages young people, individuals and associations, school students, public authorities, and the broader community to find a common language that “uses” cultural heritage as a tool for unification.
Building a cohesive community can also stem from recognizing the symbols that define the territory and the ability to convey its history. Through the recognition and sharing of stories and experiences, it is possible to create a collective identity\u2014one that allows the community to see itself as a unified whole and fosters collaboration.<\/p>\n

La partecipazione dei cittadini \u00e8 infatti fondamentale per la valorizzazione del nostro territorio e i nostri beni comuni e il progetto prevede 5 workshop del percorso partecipativo YoungFor per uno sviluppo del territorio sostenibile e inclusivo che li coinvolger\u00e0 insieme all\u2019amministrazione comunale in un\u2019attivit\u00e0 di analisi e co-progettazione sulla fruibilit\u00e0 dell\u2019Isola di San Macario, con un focus sulla sua valorizzazione storica e ambientale.
Saranno approfonditi gli strumenti disponibili per la gestione condivisa dei beni comuni e sar\u00e0 avviata la sperimentazione di un patto di collaborazione per la loro valorizzazione.<\/p>\n

Citizen participation is essential for the enhancement of our territory and common assets. The YoungFor participatory process includes five workshops aimed at promoting sustainable and inclusive territorial development.
These workshops will engage citizens alongside the municipal administration in analysis and co-design activities focused on the accessibility of San Macario Island, with a particular emphasis on its historical and environmental value.
Participants will explore the available tools for the shared management of common assets, and a collaborative agreement will be piloted to promote their enhancement.<\/p>\n
